Specific knowledge and tools are required to do the installation. Incorrect installation can cause damage to the vehicle and the ZENEC system.
REMOVAL WORK AND PREPARATION: 1 1. Remove both storage compartments in accordance with the manufacturer‘s information. 2.a 2.a Cut off the left and right plastic holders for the storage compartments as flush as possible. 2.b 2.b Use a suitable saw to do this, and then a file to remove any protrusions still present. INSTALLATION: 3 3. Remove the two original Torx screws at the top (T25).
4. Before installing the ZENEC system (No. 1) remove the two transport securing screws. 5.a 5.a Insert the mounting frame (No. 2) at an angle from above into the radio slot. 5.b 5.b Screw down the mounting frame at the top and bottom with the four Phillips screws (No. 3) supplied with the ZENEC system kit. 6. (No picture) Fit the GPS antenna (No. 6) at a suitable place, and make sure that the GPS reception is not adversely affected due to shadowing by metallic vehicle parts (thermal glazing etc.).
9. Connect the main cable (No. 9) of the ZENEC system (No. 1) to the ISO plug connectors of the vehicle. 9 10. Connect all the cables to the ZENEC system (No. 1): those previously run in the radio slot, and the original antenna cable. If necessary, use the ISO DIN antenna adapter (No. 8) included in the kit. 10 Next slide the ZENEC system carefully into the radio slot until it is heard to engage.
