Dear Customers!
Congratulations on your choice of our appliance, and
welcome among the users of Zelmer products.
In order to achieve best possible results we recommend
using exclusively original Zelmer accessories. They have
been specially designed for this product.
Important safety instructions
Read the entire instruction manual before operating the
appliance.
The appliance may only be used indoors.
The induction cooker is designated to prepare and
heat food in appropriate utensils suitable for induction
cooking.
NOTE: The diameter of the induction cooking utensil
must be at least equal to the diameter of the heating
zone used.
Never use the induction hob to heat rooms or to heat
liquids and materials that are harmful or volatile etc.
Never use the induction hob to heat sealed canned food.
The can may explode. Remove at least the lid from the
can.
Never cook food products in aluminum foil.
Never place food products wrapped in aluminum foil or in
aluminum trays on the induction hob as heated aluminum
will melt and may damage the appliance.
Do not place empty containers and dishes on the
appliance.
Never place metal items on the induction hob such as
knives, forks, spoons, lids as they may become hot.
There is a considerable number of small items which
may be treated by the appliance as an induction cooking
utensil. In such a case the hob will start heating and shall
transfer heat to the items on the hob.
CAUTION: If the surface of the hob is damaged
disconnect the appliance from the mains supply to
avoid the hazard of an electric shock.
Do not operate the appliance if it has a damaged cord or
if the housing is visibly damaged.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, a service agent or a quali ed person
in order to avoid a hazard.
The appliance can only be repaired by quali ed service
personnel. Improper servicing may cause a serious
hazard to the user.
In the event of a voltage drop all settings and indications
shall be reset. Please take all necessary precautions as
the heating zone heated before the voltage drop shall not
be controlled by the indicator.
In case of defects please contact a quali ed ZELMER
service center.
Some elements become hot when the hob is operating.
Never use the induction hob with empty utensils.
Do not touch hot surfaces of the appliance. Scalding risk!
Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.
After operation, switch off the heating zone with the
adjuster and do not rely on the indications of the utensil
detector.
Do not use abrasive detergents such as emulsions,
cream cleaners, polishes, etc. to clean the hob. They
may remove the graphic information symbols such as:
marks, warning signs etc.
The induction hob may be a hazard for persons with
a pacemaker or other active implants.
Please contact your doctor or the manufacturer of the
active implant as the magnetic eld generated during
the operation of the hob may interfere with the implant.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
The ceramic hob is sensitive to strokes e.g. with
a seasoning container, salt cellar etc.
Sugar may react with the hob leaving non-removable
stains. Always remove all stains containing sugar from
the hob.
Do not place aluminum or plastic items on the hot hob.
Make sure that the above instructions have been
understood.
Hob assembly and installation to the mains
supply
Hob assembly (Fig. A)
NOTE: The hob may be installed only by a quali ed
installer having a relevant authorization.
The dimensions and the manner of assembling the hob are
indicated in the gure.

Make an opening in the cabinet table top according to
the given dimensions.

Install the hob in the opening and x the hob to the
cabinet table top using brackets and screws.
Never install the hob above an oven which is not
equipped with a ventilation device or near heat
generating appliances.
Do not install the hob near appliances or devices which
generate magnetic eld (e.g. radio, TV, etc.).
Make sure the cabinet table top is made of heat resistant
material to avoid its deformation caused by the heat
radiation from the hob.
After installation, make sure the induction hob is well
ventilated and the air inlet and outlet are not blocked.
