Before calling the service centre
Normal situation:

The operation of the microwave oven may cause interference with radio and TV
reception.Thisinterferenceissimilartointerferencecausedbysmallelectricalappliances
suchasafoodprocessor,fan,vacuumcleaner,etc.

Whencookingatlowmicrowavepowertheinsidelightofthemicrowaveovenmay
becomedull.

Duringcooking,watervapourgetsoutofthefood.Mostofthewatervapourescapes
throughtheventilationopenings.However,condensedwatervapourmayalsoappearon
thecoolpartsoftheoven(e.g.onthedoor).
If the microwave oven does not work:

Checktomakesurethattheovenisproperlypluggedin.Ifnot,unplugtheappliance,
wait10secondsandplugitinagain.

Check tomake surethatthe fuseis notblownor thecircuit breakertripped.If the
aboveprotectivedevicesfunctionproperlycheckthemainssocketbyplugginginanother
electricalappliance.

Checktomakesurethatthecontrolpanelisproperlyprogrammedandthetimeset.
4
Checktomakesurethatthedoorisproperlylockedbythesafetyinterlocksystem.
Ifnot,themicrowaveenergywillnotbesuppliedtotheoven.

Iftheglasstrayisnoisyduringoperationchecktomakesurethatthebottomofthe
ovenandtheturntableringassemblyareclean.Cleanbyfollowingtheinformationgivenin
thesection“CLEANING,MAINTANENCEANDOPERATION”.
Turntable installation

Neverplacetheglasstrayupsidedown.Theglass
traymovementshouldnotberestricted.

Both glass tray and turntable ring assembly must
alwaysbeusedduringcooking.
3
All food and food containers should always be
placedontheglasstray.
4
Iftheglasstrayisbrokenordamagedcontactyour
nearestservicecentre.

Microwave cooking – tips

Carefullyarrangethefood.Placethethickestpiecesnexttotheedgesofthedish.

Checkthecookingtime.Cookfortheshortestindicatedtimeandifnecessaryextend
thecookingtime.Heavilyburnedproductsmaygeneratesmokeorcatchre.

Coverthefoodwhilecooking.Thecovershallpreventthefoodfrom“splashingout”
andensureevencooking.

Duringcookingturnproductsoverinordertospeedupthecookingprocessofsuch
foodsaschickenorhamburgers.Turnoverlargeproductssuchasroastmeatatleast
once.

Halfwaythroughthecookingtimechangethearrangementoffoodproductssuchas
meatballs.Theproductsplacedonthetopshouldbemovedtothebottomandthoseinthe
middleshouldbemovedtowardstheedgesofthedish.
Protective functions
CHILD LOCK – protection against children’s access
Setting the child lock:Inthestandbymodepressandholdthe Stop/Clearbuttonfor
3seconds.Youwillhearalongbeepindicatingthatthechildlockhasbeensetandthe
symbol willappearonthedisplay.
Ifafterconnectingthemicrowavetothemainstheclockhasnotbeenset,thedisplaywill
show (apartfromthesymbol )afterthechildlockisactivated.
Releasing the child lock:PressandholdtheStop/Clearbuttonfor3seconds.Youwill
hearalongbeepindicatingthatthechildlockhasbeenreleased.
Kitchen utensils – tips
Useutensilssuitableforuseinmicrowaveovens.Acontainermadeoftransparentmaterial
isidealforuseinmicrowaveovensasthemicrowavescaneasilypenetratethroughitin
ordertoheatthefood.

Donotusemetalutensilsordisheswithmetaltrims–microwavesdonotpenetrate
throughmetal.

Beforecookinginthemicrowaveovenremovewrappingsmadeofrecycledpaper,as
theymaycontainmetalparticleswhichmaycausesparkingand/orre.

Werecommendusingoval/rounddishesratherthansquare/rectangularones,asfood
inthecornersofthedishgetsburnedmoreoften.

Protecttheexposedareasfromgettingburnedbycoveringthemwithnarrowstripsof
aluminiumfoil,maintainingthedistanceofminimum3cmbetweenthefoilandtheoven
internalwalls.
