Step 1: Set the HDVI5 to the preferred initial power on state
Setup the HDVI5 to the initial power on
state you’d prefer. In this case we want the
HDVI5 turn on and switch to Input 5 when
first plugged in.
Step 2: Save the new initial power on state

Setting the Initial Power On State
As long as the H D V I 5 is plugged i n , it will remember th e p rev i o u s ly
selec ted i n p ut in standby mod e. When powere d up by pressing the
Powe r button, it will retur n to that previously selec ted channel.
Howe ver, i f p ower i s re m oved (for instan ce a p l ug strip us e d to pow-
er the HDVI5 i s turned off ), and t h e n re -applied, the HDVI5’s default
behavior is to enter into the stan d by m o d e.
It i s possible to chang e t he powe r on behavior of th e H D VI5.
To c h a n ge the power on defaults...
Step 1: Setup the HDVI5 to your preferred power on state .
Use the front panel buttons to se t u p the HDVI5 to the o p er-
ating settings you’d like at ini t i a l powe r u p.
Step 2: Save the new initial power on state.
First press and h o l d the Power button.
While continuing to hold t h e Powe r button, press and hold
the ‘ 1 ’ button.
Af ter holdi n g b oth buttons for about ‘4 ’ s econds, t he dis-
play will blink in d i c ating the new p ower on def a u l t s have
been accepted.
Test the new initial power on state
Yo u can test the ne w d efaults by either d i s connecti n g t he
powe r s u pply from the back o f t he HDVI5 or by un p l u gging
the powe r supply from the wall.
Reconnec t powe r. The HDV I 5 w ill powe r up into your new
powe r o n default state.
