Changing Switching Delays
Th e HDVI5 allows adjust i n g the switching de l ay t i m e s, for Video and
Au d i o, independe ntl y. B y default the H D V I 5 uses a 200m s v ideo de -
lay and no audio d e l ay w h e n switching bet we e n channels. The H D M I
specifications c a l l s fo r a minimum of 1 0 0 ms, some monitors may
re q u ire much larger delay time s to s w i tch re l iably.
To a d j u st the Audio / Vi d e o switching delays...
Step 1: Place the HDVI5 into the Setup Mode
Th e HDVI5 is pl a ce d i n to t h e setup mode by pressing a n d
holding the Power bu t ton for abo u t 4 seconds.
Step 2: Enter the Switching Delay Setup Mode
Press the ' 5 ' button to enter the Switching De l ay S etup
Mode.
Th e Blue LEDs i n d i cate the Vid e o mute delay, i f there are no
Blue LEDs lit , t hen there is no vid e o d elay.
Th e Red LEDs i n d icate the Audio mute delay, if there are no
Red LEDs l i t , then there is no au d i o delay.
One lit LED i n d i cate s a 100ms second d e l ay.
Two lit L E D s indicates a 200ms s e con d d elay.
Th re e lit LEDs ind i c a tes a 1 /2 second delay.
Four lit LEDs i n d icates a 1 second delay.
Five lit LEDs in d i c a tes a 2 second delay.
Step 3: Adjust Switching Delay Times
Th e 'SEL' button s e l e c ts b e t ween the Vi d e o delay setting
and the Audio delay setti n g.
Th e 'A1' and 'A2' buttons a re us e d to set the del ay ti m e s
'A1' decreases the del ay ti m e.
'A2' increases the del ay ti m e.
Press the Power bu t to n to s ave new s e t t i ngs and exit.
Note: Th e new settings a re save d in non-volatile memor y and
are not affected by a p ower failure.

display goes wild. (About 4 seconds.)
Step 2: Enter the Switching Delay Setup Mode.

After pressing '5', the standby
LED continues to flash, and the
front panel will display the cur-
rent delay settings.
Step 3: Enable or Disable Front Panel and / or IR Control Functions
