Setting the Initial Power On State
As long as the H D S 4 . 1 is plugged i n , it will remember t h e p re v i ously
selec ted i n p ut in standby mod e. When powere d up by pressing the
Powe r button, it will retur n to that previously selec ted channel.
Howe ver, i f p ower i s re m oved (for instan ce a p l ug strip us e d to
powe r t h e HDS4.1 is t u r ned off ), and then re -a p p l i ed, the HDS4.1’s
default behavior i s t o e n ter i n to t h e standby mode.
It i s possible to chang e t he powe r on behavior of th e H D S4.1.
To c h a n ge the power on defaults...
Step 1: Setup the HDS4.1 to your preferred power on state

Use the front panel buttons to se t u p the HDS4.1 to th e o p-
erating settings you’d like at initi a l power u p.
Step 2: Save the new initial power on state.
First press and h o l d the Power button.
While continuing to hold t h e Powe r button, press and hold
the ‘ 1 ’ button.
Af ter holdi n g b oth buttons for about ‘4 ’ s econds, t he dis-
play will blink in d i c ating the new p ower on def a u l t s have
been accepted.
Test the new initial power on state
Yo u can test the ne w d efaults by either d i s connecti n g t he
powe r s u pply from the back o f t he HDS4.1 or by u n p l ug-
ging the power supply from the wall.
Reconnec t powe r. The HDS 4 . 1 will power up into yo ur new
powe r o n default state.
