Step 1...
Use the analog i n p u t connect i o n s to switch component
video / composite vi d e o / analog aud i o o r any combination
of the above signals to the HDS 4 . 1 ’s an a l o g output connec -
tors. Us e t h e digital audio conn e c tors to switch di gita l a u -
dio signals, with full format conversion bet ween t h e o ptical
and coax digital aud i o for m a t s.
Plug the power module into the HD S 4 . 1, and plug t h e mod-
ule into a standard A.C. wal l receptac l e. The standby LED
will light up.
Step 2...
To s w i t c h b etween any of the four inputs, simpl y p ress
the button for the desired inpu t . If the H D S 4.1 is in the
standby, i t will turn o n . The HDS 4 . 1 will then sw i tch to t h e
selec ted i n p ut, and the a s s o ciated LED will lig ht to i n d i cate
this.
To p l a c e t h e HDS4.1 back i n to t h e standby mode, press and
re l e ase the Power Toggle b u t to n. The c h a n n el LEDs will a l l
go blank , and the standby LED wi l l l i ght up. Pre s s t h e Powe r
Togg l e button again to re -selec t the previously s e l ected
input.
Step 3...
Use nearly a ny remo te to control your H D S 4 . 1!
Using any re m ote to operate the HDS4.1 i s a simple mat-
ter of pairing u p the HDS4.1 w i t h the remote. The remote
doesn’t have to be a universal remote (although it c a n be),
any remo te f rom an o l d T V or VCR will work j u s t fine.
