Learning New Discrete IR Codes
The H DMI5 all ows di screte IR control over all of i t's func tio ns. Thes e
codes can als o be reprogr amme d as des crib ed h ere.
Pick a remote

Step 1: Put the HDMI5 into the Setup Mode
The H DMI5 is place d in to th e se tup mode by p re ssin g an d
hold ing the Power butto n for abou t 4 secon ds.
Step 2: Select the Intelligent-IR™ Learn Mode
Disc rete I R le arni ng i s se lec ted by pre ssin g th e '2 ' bu tton.
Once the '2' butto n is pres sed, t he s tand by LE D wi ll f lash
slower and all the oth er L EDs will tur n of f. The HDMI 5 is
now wa itin g for new IR codes to b e se nt fro m your remo te
control.
Step 3: Teach the HDMI5 your new discrete IR control codes
On yo ur rem ote co ntrol, press the but tons yo u'd l ike to us e
as d iscre te IR code s, in the fo llow i ng o rder :
Power O n - Tu rns On Power
Power O ff - Turns O ff Power
Seq uence Inpu ts - S eque nce t hroug h in puts

Break away Aud io - S ets audi o brea k away mo de

new disc rete " Power On", the seco nd b utton pres sed will be
used as the new "Power O ff ", etc.
The 'A1' c an b e pre ssed to d isab le t he c urren t IR code.
The 'A2' c an b e pre ssed to s ki p th e cu rrent IR code, l eavin g
it u ncha nged.
Note: All remote control code s are saved i n no n-volati le

Step 1: Put the HDMI5 into the Setup Mode
Press and hold the Power Button for 4 secs.
The front panel LEDs will start to blink wildly.
Step 2: Press the '2' button for Intelligent-IR™ learning

codes, in the order given
in "Step 3" of the text.
Once the 2 button is pressed, the
HDMI5 will be ready to learn new
discrete IR codes starting with
"Discrete Power On".
