Auxiliary Relay Connections
The a uxil iar y relay conta cts are rated fo r 30 volts @ 5 amps,
A.C. or D.C., and can be used to s witch on and off anyth ing
you c an t hink of with in t hose lim its.
Each relay has a No rma lly Open conn ec tion , t wo Comm on
conne ct ions, and a No rma lly Clos ed co nnec ti on.
The d iagram to the lef t de mons trates the inte rnal conn ec-
tion s to the relays.
By usin g th e su ppli ed a dapte r, the relays conn e ct ions can
be m ade before rack mount ing the HDMI 5.
The A 1 an d A2 but tons are u sed to tog gle on a nd o ff t he
relays.
The re lays c an a lso be s etup to t urn off af ter a given
amou nt of tim e. Or to t urn on w hene ver s peci fied cha nnel s
are s elec ted. See the sec ti on "Au xili ar y R elay Opt ions " for
relay s etup info rmat ion.
Using the Secure HDMI™ brackets
Star t by a ttac hing the brac ket to th e ba ck o f th e HD MI5
usin g on e of the sup plie d sc rews. Tighten the scre w ju st
enou gh to kee p th e bra cket sec urely aga inst the bac k of
the HDMI 5, b ut s till all ow fre e movem ent.
Plug in t he H DMI cabl e. Si nce t he b racke t is free to m ove
you c an a djus t it to f it a ny size conn ec tor. Use a wi re tie to
hold the brac ket agai nst the cabl e.
Once the wire tie is i n pl ace you can tig hten the screw to
secu rely hold the brac ket and HDMI cab le i n pl ace.

tion it to an othe r in put, sim ply unsc rew t he b racke t fro m
the back of the HDMI , th ere i s no nee d to re move t he w ire
tie.

Using the supplied Remote Control
Use the remote controller buttons in the section
labeled: HDMI5 / HDMI5. (The other sections control
other Zektor products)
Each button on the remote corresponds to the
same button on the HDMI5's front panel.
Auxiliary Relay Connections
N/O = Normally Open Contacts. These contacts
are open when the relay's LED is not lit.
COM = Common
N/C = Normally Closed Contacts. These contacts
are closed when the relay's LED is not lit.
Make connections to the adapter which plugs into the HDMI5.

Position the clamp as shown
and lightly tighten the screw.

Plug in HDMI cable and use
wire tie, as shown, to hold
cable in position.

Fully tighten down screw to
hold clamp in place.

To remove, or reposition HDMI
cable, unscrew clamp, leaving
wire tie in place.
