outp ut. Thi s al lows i t to corre ct for m any no n- comp liant dev ices at-
tach ed to its inp uts, and always gene rate f ully comp liant HDM I/DV I
data on i ts o utpu t.

no a ffec t on a f ully comp lian t HD MI/D VI s ource, b ut m ay be usef ul
when conn ec ting to a non - compl iant source.
Band widt h: This set ting all ows th e HD MI5 to sy nc t o so urces w ith

tion s. The l arger the ban d wid t h, t he b ette r th e HD MI5 can to lo ck o n

to no ise. S ome PC cards, and olde r DV D pl ayers, m ay req uire t his
value to be s et h igh (6MH z) to wor k rel iabl y.

HSy nc a nd VSync: When set to th eir defa ult valu es, th ese sett ings
have no effe ct on t he H Sync a VSyn c si gnals. I f a source and mon itor
will not work wit h ea ch o ther, u sing the HDM I5 a nd e nabl ing one or
both of thes e se ttin gs ( blue LED s are lit ) may fix the inco mpati bili ty.
Step 1: Place the HDMI5 into the Cable Length Adj. Mode

until the HDM I5 e nters the Cabl e Leng th Adj. Mo de.
Step 2: Switch to the Bandwidth & Sync settings
Pres s th e 'S EL' to tog gle to th e Ba ndwi dth Set ting s mo de.
Use ' 1' a nd ' 2' s et t he H DMI5 's re ceiver' s ba ndwi dth.
3MH z = LED '1' Red & L ED ' 2' B lue.
4MH z = LED '1' Red, LED '2' Red (D efau lt, HDMI Spe c).
5MH z = LED '1' Blu e, LED '2' Blu e.
6MH z = LED '1' Blu e, LED '2' Red.
Use ' 3' to set HSJ itter (RE D=D efau lt, BLUE= Enab led) .
Use ' 4' to set HSyn c (R ED=D efa ult, BLUE =Sync always 0).
Use ' 5' to set VSync (RE D=D efau lt, BLUE= Sy nc a lways 0).
