Control Functions
If you a re us ing the re ar p anel IR jack , you m ight want to di sabl e th e

Step 1: Enter the Setup Mode
The H DMI5 is place d in to th e se tup mode by p re ssin g an d
hold ing the Power butto n for abou t 4 secon ds.
Step 2: Enter the Enable / Disable control state
While in the setu p mo de, p re ss ' 4' to ente r th e En able /Dis -
able cont ro l st ate. The c urren t st atus will be disp layed us-
ing the front pane l LE Ds.

indi cates dis able d.
Step 3: Enable or Disable control functions
Use ' 1' to ena ble/ disa ble the IR S ens or h ardware.
Use ' 2' to ena ble/ disa ble the IR J ack hardwa re.
Use ' 3' to ena ble/ disa ble the front pane l bu ttons.
Use ' 4' to ena ble/ disa ble IR co ntrol.
Use ' 5' to ena ble/ disa ble +12V On/ O ff co ntrol.
Note 1: Th e IR Jac k an d +1 2V O n/O ff co ntrol func ti ons are m utu-
ally excl usive. E nabl ing +12V On/ Of f contro l wi ll d isab le
the IR Ja ck h ardware. Enab ling IR Jack hardwa re wi ll d is-
able +12 V O n/O ff con trol.
Note 2: When disa blin g th e IR Jack and IR Sen sor, the hard -
ware i s di sabl ed. Where as ' IR Contro l' e nabl es/d isab les
whet her the HDMI 5 res pond s to IR s igna ls re ce ived. I f
the IR S ens or o r IR Jack are enab led, and 'IR Cont rol'
disa bled, IR sign als can stil l be read thro ugh the RS -232
por t, whil e be ing igno red by the HDMI 5.

display goes wild. (About 4 seconds.)
Step 2: Enter the Enable / Disable control state

After ‘4’ is pressed, the standby
LED continues to flash, and the
front panel will display the cur-
rent settings.
