 Examine your PC’s power supply to see if it has Molex type
connectors or SATA type connectors. Choose the appropriate power
connector cable for the following steps. If your PC’s power supply has
both connector types, choose only one cable.
 Connect the appropriate power connector cable to one of the open
connectors from your computer’s power supply.
 Connect the other end of the power connector cable to the PCIe
interface card.
 Insert the PCIe interface card into the appropriate slot on your
computer.
 Close the computer case and reconnect the peripherals.
Special details on opening your computer and on the slots it
contains can be found in the relevant documentation from your
PC’s manufacturer.
The provided power connector cables are not necessary if the
connectors from your PC’s power supply can extend far enough
to connect directly to the PCIe interface card. If it cannot extend
far enough and a power connector cable is needed as an
extension, use only one of the two provided cables.
Connecting the camera to the PC
Lay the data cable carefully between the camera and the PC.
Make sure that the cable is a safe distance from hot light
sources on the microscope, to prevent it being damaged by
heat.
 Connect the supplied USB 3.0 cable to the Axiocam 105 color. Tighten
the screws with a screwdriver until it is finger tight.
 Connect the other end of the USB 3.0 cable to the PCIe interface card.
