6601 Installation Instructions

Unpack all the parts; be sure to

save the foam ring. Remove the

6” filler cap in the center of the

tote. Place the foam ring on to the

threaded area, this will keep out

dust and water if it is present.

Next use the four 3/8” bolts and nuts to attach the

adjustable clamps on each end. The angle plate goes

on top of the base and the clamping plate goes on the

bottom. This makes the base plate sandwich between

the top and bottom plate. You will find it best to start

the bolts from the top and the nuts on the bottom. Be

sure to only start the nut two or three threads.

Next, if a reel is used, it is

easier to attach the reel to the plate

with the four 5/16” bolts, washers,

and nuts before mounting the plate

to the tote. Be sure to have the

reel mounted so the reel inlet hose

is on the outside of the tote not

next to the pump. Next set the reel

and plate on the top of the tank

with the 2” filler pipe going

through the 6” opening in the top

of the tank and on top of the foam

ring. It is best to do one side at a

time.

Now slide the top and bottom so that the top angle

is resting on the tote top rail and the bottom clamp is

around the tote top rail tube. Hand-tighten the bolts

so it will still slide in and out. Now do the other end

the same way. Next be sure the foam ring is still in

place and the 2” filler pipe is in the tank and over to

one side, leaving room for the pump pick up tube to

be installed. Once complete remove one of the 3/8”

bolts on the opposite side of the reel and mount the

oil meter tip holder. It is best to use the back hole and

have it facing the front of the tote; the same direction

as the hose coming out of the reel. Now tighten up all

four 3/8” bolts.

5. Next install the pick-up tube onto the pump along with the foot valve. Thread sealer should be used on all threads. Now install the oil pump in the 2” bung allowing for the foot valve to remain 1” to 2” off the bottom of the tank. Thread the bung adapter into the mounting plate then tighten the bung so the pump is tight. The oil hose should be connected to the reel before connecting it to the oil pump. 6.
