Appendix I – Control Panel Setup
Example: Changing the Serial Interface Baud Rate
This example shows the steps required to change the serial baud rate from 57600 to 38400.
1. Make sure the printer is turned off.

2. Hold the
Enter Button and turn the printer on with the Power
Button. Hold the
Enter Button until “Menus Active” is displayed.

3. After releasing the Enter Button, the printer will display “Entering
Setup Menus” and will then proceed to “Interface” and will display the
currently active interface on the bottom line.
Note: If “Serial” is not displayed, please refer to “Appendix B – Using
the Serial/USB Interface” for instructions on how to make Serial
the currently selected interface.

4. Press the Enter Button to enter “Interface”, and continue to press the
Enter Button until “Baud Rate: 57600” is displayed.

5. Press the Increment Button three times to advance the value to
“38400”.

6. Press the Advance Button until “Exit Setup Save Changes” is
displayed.

7. Press the Enter Button to exit Setup. The printer will indicate that it is
saving the changes, will perform an internal reset, and then be ready for
use with the new values that were entered.
