Set SNMP
Description Use this command to set the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
parameters.
Format
^NNa,b,c,d,e,f
The following table identifies the parameters for this format.
Note • Firmware versions SP1071 and SP1073 support SNMP traps only. Other SNMP
parameters are not supported.
Parameters Details
a = system name
Same as printer name.
Accepted Values: Up to 17 alphanumeric characters
b = system contact
Any contact information as desired (such as a name or phrase)
Accepted Values: Up to 50 alphanumeric characters
c = system location
The printer’s model information.
Accepted Values: Up to 50 alphanumeric characters
d = get community name Accepted Values: Up to 19 alphanumeric characters
Default Value: public
e = set community name Accepted Values: Up to 19 alphanumeric characters
Default Value: public
f = trap community
name
Accepted Values: Up to 20 alphanumeric characters
Default Value: public
