Automatically Changing the Display Brightness
To toggle automatic brightness:
1. Swipe-in from the right edge of the display.
2. Touch Settings > Change PC settings > PC and devices > Power and sleep.
3. Slide the switch to the On or OFF position.
Screen Orientation
For optimal viewing experience, the screen orientation changes automatically to portrait or landscape depending
on how you hold the ET5X. You can disable automatic screen rotation and lock the screen in portrait or landscape
mode.
NOTE: Some applications may not support automatic screen rotation and are designed to work only in one
orientation.
To lock the screen orientation:
1. Rotate the screen to the desired orientation.
2. Swipe-in from the right edge of the display.
3. Touch Settings > Screen icon .
4. Touch the Screen rotation icon. A lock appears on the Screen icon.
Resetting the ET5X
Resetting the ET5X returns Windows to original factory settings.
To reset the ET5X:
1. Swipe-in from the right edge of the display.
2. Touch Settings > Change PC settings > Update and recovery > Recovery.
3. Under Remove everything and reinstall Windows, touch Get started.
4. Read the warning and touch Next.
CAUTION Resetting the ET5X erases all data from the ET5X, including your account configuration, apps, music,
pictures, files, and so on. Make sure that you back up all the required data before you proceed.
