Using the Tablet

To close the Action Center, touch the icon or touch Start.
Notifications
Notification icon reports the arrival of new messages, calendar events, and alarms. When a notification occurs,
the icon turns white.
• To view a list of all notifications, open the Action Center.
• To respond to a notification, open the Action Center and then touch a notification. The Action Center
closes and the subsequent activity is dependent on the notification.
• To delete a notification, swipe the notification to the right.
• To close the Action Center, touch the icon or touch the back arrow.
Customizing the Action Center
To customize the Action Center:
1. Touch All settings > System > Notifications & actions.
2. Press and hold a quick action. and drag to rearrange. The top four options appear in Collapse view.
To select which notifications to receive and how:
1. In the Notification section, touch the switches to turn off or on the particular notification.
Tablet Modes and Interaction
Configuring Tablet Mode
You may configure how the tablet Start screen displays depending upon if it is being used as a tablet or docked
in a cradle.
To configure tablet mode:
1. Touch All Settings > System > Tablet mode.
