Problem Cause Solution
Battery not charging. Battery was re-
moved from the
charger or charg-
er was unplugged
from AC power
too soon.
Re-insert the battery in the charger or re-connect the charger’s power
supply. The battery fully charges in less than six hours.
Battery is faulty. Verify that other batteries charge properly. If so, replace the faulty
battery.
Battery contacts
not connected to
charger.
Verify that the battery is seated in the battery well correctly with the
contacts facing down.
USB/Charge Cable Troubleshooting

Problem Cause Solution
Battery not charging. ET1 was discon-
nected from AC
power too soon.
Connect the power cable correctly. Confirm main battery is charging
under > About device > Status. The battery fully charges
in less than six hours.
Battery is faulty. Verify that other batteries charge properly. If so, replace the faulty
battery.
The ET1 is not
connected to
power.
Detach and re-attach the power cable to the ET1, ensuring it is firmly
connected.
During data communica-
tion, no data transmits,
or transmitted data was
incomplete.
Cable was dis-
connected from
ET1 during com-
munications.
Re-attach the cable and retransmit.
Incorrect cable
configuration.
See the system administrator.
Communication
software is not in-
stalled or config-
ured properly.
