PROGRAMMING CAUTION:
Parallel Port Configurations and the UF, UG,
UI or US Commands: The printer only communi-
cates a detailed status to the host via the printer’s se-
rial port.
If the printer is only connected to the host via the
parallel port, DO NOT send a UF, UG, UI, or US
(Host) status reporting commands to the printer. The
printer may appear to hang. The user may have to
make a serial cable connection to the host or power
cycle the printer to resume normal printing
operations.
