type: getvar; setvar
This parameter refers to the printer display backlight. Valid only on printers with a display installed.
getvar result State of backlight control, “on” or “off”
Example
Description Get current backlight setting
Syntax ! U1 getvar “display.backlight”
Result “on”
setvar choices
“on”, “off”
Default “on”
Example
Description Turn backlight off
Syntax ! U1 setvar “display.backlight” “off”
Result Printer will turn display backlight off
