You must use an ESD strap and work at a properly grounded
workstation (antistatic mat or tray). All electronic components must
be placed on an ESD protective tray. If stored, any electronic
components must be placed in antistatic bags.

• #1 Phillips Head Screwdriver.
• ESD strap and mat
Removing the Battery Latch
1. Remove the Media. Refer to the Cameo Portable Printers User’s Manual .
2. Remove the Battery.
3. Remove the Top Cover. Refer to “Top Cover - Cameo 2 & 3.”
4. Remove the Spring.
5. Press both snaps on the Battery Latch Button toward each other and remove both
the Battery Latch Button and the Battery Latch.
Installing the Battery Latch
1. Insert the Battery Latch Button into the Bottom Cover.
2. Line the Battery Latch over the snaps on the Battery Latch Button, and push to snap
into place. The Latch and Button should slide freely on the Lower Case.
3. Install the spring. Compress the Spring so that one end fits over the protrusion on
the Lower Case, and the other end fits over the matching protrusion on the Battery
latch. Insure that the Button and Battery Latch still move back and forth freely, but
with normal spring tension.
