You must use an ESD strap and work at a properly grounded
workstation (antistatic mat or tray). All electronic components must
be placed on an ESD protective tray. If stored, any electronic
components must be placed in antistatic bags.
Tools:
#1 Phillips Head Screwdriver.
#1 Slot Head Screwdriver.
3/32 Hex Driver.

Removing the Battery Latch
To remove the Battery Latch: Refer to the figure on the next page.
1. Remove the Media.
Turn the printer off, open the Media Cover as though loading media and remove any
media from the printer. Refer to the
Cameo Portable Printers User’s Manual
.
2. Remove the Top Cover.
Remove the 2 Phillipps screws from the back of the printer and remove the 2
Phillipps screws from the front of the printer. Refer to “Top Cover - Cameo 2 & 3.”
3. Loosen the CPU Board.
Remove the 4 Phillipps screws from the PCB. Refer to “CPU Board - Cameo 3.”
4. Loosen the Printer Assembly.
Remove the 3 screws to be able to lift the Printer Assembly and access the Battery
Latch. Refer to “Printer Assembly - Cameo 2 & 2

.”
5. Unscrew the socket head cap screw and remove the latch.
Note: Be careful not to lose the springs...they will fly!
