BAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY, CAMEO 2 PLUS- AN16793-010
You must use an ESD strap and work at a properly grounded
workstation (antistatic mat or tray). All electronic components must
be placed on an ESD protective tray. If stored, any electronic
components must be placed in antistatic bags.
Be careful not to damage the actuator on the head open switch
while working on the Cameo Chassis.
Tools
• #1 Phillips Head Screwdriver
• 3/32” Hex Driver
• ESD strap and mat
The following procedures are valid in a Cameo 2 if PCC Digit 8 = B.
Removing the Bar Sensor (Refer to figure on next page)
1. Remove the media and battery. Refer to the
Cameo User’s Manual
.
2. Remove the Top Cover. Refer to “Top Cover - Cameo 2 & 3.”
3. Loosen the CPU Board (4 screws). Refer to “CPU Board - Cameo 2.”
4. Loosen the Printer Assembly (3 screws). Refer to “Printer Assembly - Cameo 2.”
5. Unscrew the Bar SensorAssembly from the Print Assembly.
6. Unplug the Bar Sensor Cable from the CPU Board.
Installing the Bar SensorAssembly (Refer to figure on next
page)
1. Install the Bar Sensor Assembly.
1a. Slide the Bar Sensor Assembly into the Sensor Mount, dressing the cable out the
wide opening at the bottom of the Mount.
1b. Mount the SensorAssembly on the side of the printer frame where shown and
secure with (1) Self-Tapping Screw.
Note: Insure that the wires from the Sensor cable are not pinched between the Sensor mount
and the printer frame.
The Sensor assembly must line up with the side of the Printer Frame as shown in Detail
“A” for the sensor to work properly.
1c. Dress the Bar Sensor cable along the side of the printer frame as shown, and
secure in place using the Clamp and Self-Tapping Screw.
1d. Plug the Bar Sensor Cable into J5 of the CPU Board.
2. Install the Printer Assembly
3. Secure the CPU Board. Refer to “CPU Board - Cameo 2.”
4. Install the Top Cover. Refer to “Top Cover - Cameo 2 & 3.”
5. Install the Media and Battery. Refer to the “Battery, Cameo 2 &3”.
