Removing the CPU Board
1. Remove the media and battery. Refer to the
Cameo Portable Printers User’s
Manual
.
2. Remove the Top Cover. Refer to “Top Cover - Cameo 2 & 3.”
3. Remove the CPU Board. Remove the 2 screws from the CPU Board and then push
the latch and lift the board from its retainers.
4. Unplug all cables from the CPU Board, and remove the CPU Board.
5. Unplug the SRRF module from the CPU Board.
Installing the CPU Board
1. Install the SRRF Module (PCC digit 7 = 2-5, 8, 9, or B)
Note: Refer to the appropriate SRRF section for further information on the SRRF options.
1a. If PCC digit 7 = 9 or B, plug the Antenna lead into the SRRF module. Refer to
the appropriate SRRF section for further information on the SRRF options.
1b. Plug the SRRF Assembly into SRRF 1 on the bottom of the CPU Board.
1c. If PCC digit 7 = 9 or B, install the antenna and secure it to the lower chassis with
Super-Bond tape. Refer to the appropriate SRRF section for further information
on the SRRF options.
You must use an ESD strap and work at a properly grounded
workstation (antistatic mat or tray). All electronic components must
be placed on an ESD protective tray. If stored, any electronic
components must be placed in antistatic bags.
Be careful not to damage the actuator on the head open switch
while working on the Cameo Chassis.
The Tear Bar on the Printer Assembly has sharp edges. Use caution
when performing operations near the printer.
