10. Press PAUSE, let several more labels print, and then press PAUSE again.

14. Press PAUSE, let several more labels print, then press PAUSE again.
15. Examine this set of labels to make sure the print quality and parallelism are still
good. If the adjustment “slipped” when you tightened the printhead position locking
screws, loosen them, then repeat steps 9–13 until the print quality and parallelism
are good. Tighten the printhead position locking screws.
16. If labels are printing properly, press PAUSE to stop printing.
17. Press MODE three times. The Mode LEDs flash and the settings are permanently
saved to memory.
18. To exit the Pause Key Self Test, the printer must be turned Off (O).
Note • The desired result produces the darkest printing evenly across the label and
lines printed on the test labels that are parallel to the top of the label.
Notes • If after the above adjustments the print quality is even, but not dark
enough, perform "Adjusting the Printer Darkness" on page 2-26 until optimum
darkness is achieved. If optimum darkness still cannot be achieved, it may be
necessary to perform the "Printhead Pressure Adjustment" on page 2-29.
To extend the life of the printhead, use the lowest toggle pressure that produces
the desired print quality.
