Exterior – Clean the exterior surfaces of the printer as required by using a lint free cloth.
Do not use solvents or harsh cleaning agents. If the unit is excessively dirty, a mild
detergent solution or desktop cleaner may be used sparingly.
InteriorAs required, remove any dirt/lint accumulated in the interior of the printer by
using a softbristle brush, dry compressed air, or vacuum cleaner. It is a good practice to
inspect these areas with each media change.
Media and Ribbon Paths – Clean with a solution of 90% isopropyl alcohol and 10%
distilled water. No other cleaning fluids or sprays should be used.
Table 4-1 lists a recommended cleaning schedule showing the area, method, and interval
for cleaning the printer. Actual schedule should be adjusted based on volume of labels
printed and environmental conditions where the printer is located.
Caution:
Use only the cleaning agents described in the following procedures. Damage can occur
if the incorrect cleaning agents are used on this printer.
