Printer stops, pause and
paper/ribbon LEDs both
on.
Media incorrectly loaded
or not loaded.
Load media correctly, then turn
printer off and on.
Cutter error.
Clear jam, then open and close
printhead.
Calibration error. Recalibrate printer.

Check position and sensitivity

Replace ribbon sensor.

Printhead not fully closed. Close printhead completely.
Printhead-open sensor
not detecting flag or flag
not in proper position.
Check head-open sensor and
flag for proper operation.

Printer stops, pause LED

Printhead element
overheated.
Printer resumes printing when
printhead element cools.
Power supply
over-temperature.
Printer resumes printing when
power supply cools.

Printer stops and pause
LED on.
PAUSE was accidentally
or intentionally pushed.
Press PAUSE to resume
operation.
Not enough memory to:
1. Download graphics.
2. Create bitmap (not
enough memory for
length of label).
3. Build format (label
too complex).
You may do the following:
1. Check for proper
Communication
Configuration.
2. With PAUSE on, use the
~HM ZPL II command to
display the amount of free
memory.
3. With PAUSE on, press
CANCEL to skip that label
format and continue to the
next one.
4. Cycle power off and on to
clear printer memory and
start again.

Printhead LED on but
printing continues.
Printhead is
under-temperature.
Check print quality.
Printhead heats up by printing or
moving printer to a warmer area.
15 Pause LED flashing.
Waiting for user to remove
peeled label.
