1. Turn the printer Off (O), and remove the AC power cord and the data cable.
2. Remove media and ribbon.
3. Remove the main door and rear cover.
4. Remove the main logic board.
5. Refer to Figure 4-49. Disconnect the stepper motor cable from the power supply
board (J1).
6. Disconnect the ground wire leading from the power supply board to the ground bar.
7. Refer to Figure 4-50 on page 4-59. Remove the screw in the middle of the media
compartment that secures the main base to the power supply base together.
8. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver tip into the slots shown in Figure 4-50 on page 4-59.
9. Gently pull the screwdriver handle toward the front of the printer until the tabs pop
out of the cutout (tabs slide into the base).
10. Carefully pry the front of the power supply base downward to remove the assembly.
11. Refer to Figure 4-51 on page 4-60. Remove the two mounting screws that secure
the power supply board to the base.
12. Pivot the board off the front snaps.
