Printhead Carriage
Preparations
Before starting the procedure, open the printer, then remove media from the printer.
The exterior cover must be removed prior to proceeding. (980428-101)
Remove the printhead and set it on a clean, soft and static safe surface (mat). (980428-102)
Tools:
#2 Philips and a flat blade screwdrivers
Removal
1. Open the printhead and unhook the printhead carriage spring from the other side of the center
panel. Push down on the spring while holding the printhead up to release the spring.
2. Remove the three (3) remaining screws retaining the printhead side plate to the center panel of
the printer. Lift the printhead carriage out. Note the carriage pivot and cable routing.
