Holding the FEED button down performs a
continuous Form Feed. After releasing the
button, the printer feeds the media until the
next top of form is reached.

Holding the FEED button without media
loaded performs a continuous Line Feed un

til you release the button or the printer de
-
tects media. Use this "Power Media Loading"
when reloading media.

Holding the FEED button down while pow
-
ering up the printer with media loaded makes
the printer enter AutoSense mode. See Auto
-
Sense on page 29 for important details.
Always run the AutoSense procedure when
loading a new batch or new type of media.
Media from the same manufacturing lot and
having identical dimensions do not require the
AutoSense procedure to be run every time new
media is loaded.
The Form Feed length is set by printer
programming Q command in EPL2
programming language or by the AutoSense
feature, an automatic label and gap length
sensing operation. See AutoSense, page 29.
Continuous media with no label gaps,
containing black marks or notch holes, require
programming to set the form length and feed
distance.
