1. Refer to RRP No. 1 on page 4-10 and place the power switch in the Off (O) position
and disconnect the AC power cord. Disconnect the data cables.
2. Open the media cover.
3. Open the printhead and remove the media and ribbon. Close the printhead.
CAUTION:
OBSERVE PROPER ELECTROSTATIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN
HANDLING ANY STATIC-SENSITIVE COMPONENTS SUCH AS PRINTED
CIRCUIT BOARDS AND PRINTHEADS.
NOTE: The printhead mounting screw is captive to the printhead mounting
bracket.
4. Refer to Figure 4-18 and loosen the spring-loaded mounting screw until it disengages
from the printhead.
5. Slowly open the printhead assembly. The printhead remains on the platen while the
rest of the assembly pivots out of the way.
6. Gently pull away the printhead data connector from the printhead.
7. Gently pull away the power cable connector from the printhead.
