Setting a User Supplied IP Address
To setup a User Supplied IP address, first obtain a valid IP address from your Network Administrator.
This is the IP address to be entered in the IP Address box on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties
dialog’s General tab.
Procedure 4-3 Setting a User Supplied Address

From the Start menu, select Settings
Control Panel. Double click on the Network and Dial-up
Connections icon.

The Network and Internet Connections window will be displayed. Double-click on Network and
Internet Connections then right-click on the Local Area Connection icon and select Properties.

On the Local Area Connection Properties dialog, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click on
the Properties button.
