4. See Figure 19 on page 33. Feed the media under the media guide roller and under the
upper media sensor assembly.
5. Pull the media through under the printhead.
6. Adjust the media guide so that it just touches, but does not restrict, the edge of the media.
The labels should lie flat.

Important • Be sure to thread the media under the upper media sensor assembly and the
ribbon guide roller. If you thread the media over these, the media blocks the ribbon sensor.

Using direct thermal
media
Close the printhead, and then go to Calibrate the Printer
on page 43.
Using thermal transfer
media
Go to Loading Ribbon on page 36.
