The following describes the parameters for setting up the network:
All
wireless devices must be within the same subnet.
currently uses the non-routable 10.x.x.x (8 bit) subnet as defined in RFC 1918.
The IAP will use DHCP to obtain an address, and it must be returned a 10.x.x.x address.
All MeshNetworks devices (other than the IAP) currently have fixed addresses of
10.0.x.x with a default gateway of 10.0.0.1.
All Mesh devices (other than the IAP) currently expect a DNS server at the IP address
192.168.50.20. If a DNS server is not available at this address, subscriber device hosts
will be unable to resolve web URLs. (This can be overcome by manually setting a DNS
server address in the TCP/IP configuration for the subscriber device host. See Notes in
Appendix B.)
A VPN needs to be set up between the Network Operator and MeshNetworks’ Support
group.
