Connecting to the Internet
To connect to the Internet on a WLAN when using Fusion Wireless Companion, ensure that the network card
settings is set to Internet:
• Ensure the Fusion is enabled and a profile is configured.
•Tap on Start>Settings>Connections>Wi-Fi.
• In the My network card Connects to drop-down menu, choose The Internet.
•Tap on OK.
Fusion Setup
• In the Today screen, tap on the Fusion softkey at the bottom of the screen to display the Fusion Launcher
dialog box. Alternately, you can tap on Start>Wireless Companion>Wireless Launch.
The Fusion Launcher items and their corresponding applications are summarized in the table following.
NOTE WLAN configuration information must be obtained from the system administrator
before performing Fusion setup procedures.
NOTE The Fusion setup example following uses Open encryption. Depending on what
you choose, the setup may vary slightly.
Application Description
Find WLANS Displays a list of the WLANs active in the area.
Manage Profiles Used to create new profiles and manage and edit existing profiles.
Manage Certs Used to manage authentication certificates.
Manage PACs Used to manage a list of Protected Access Credentials (PAC) used with
Extensible Authentication Protocol-Flexible Authentication via Secure
Tunneling (EAP-FAST) authentication.
Options Provides options which allow the user to configure the Fusion
option settings.
Wireless Status Displays the status of the current wireless connection (view only).
