Accounts customers used by POS
There are two customers created in Accounts when you install POS and link it to an Accounts  le:
Layby Customer•
Reversal Customer•
POS creates and uses these customers. Both these customers have the same message “This customer is used by POS.
DO NOT DELETE”.
Creating customers in POS Terminal
There are two options that must be turned on if you want to create and edit customers in POS Terminal: Allow New
customer entry and Allow Edit existing customer.
To create and edit customers in POS Terminal:
Go to the 1. Tools menu, click Options and then click the Keyboard tab.
Click 2. Design Keyboard Layout for the type of keyboard you use with POS (PC, POS or Touch).
For any Customer Account function keys, click to select 3. Allow New customer entry and Allow Edit existing
customer from the Function Options.
If those options are not turned on, customers must be created and maintained from Accounts.
