Getting Started
Percentage
You can specify a percentage discount or surcharge to apply the discount or surcharge to any purchases that the
customer makes.
To apply a discount:
In Accounts, enter a minus sign before the percentage, for example – 10.1.
In POS Terminal:2.
Go to the 1. Tools menu and click Options and then click the Keyboard tab.
Click 2. Design Keyboard Layout for the type of keyboard you use with POS (PC, POS or Touch).
For any Customer Account function keys, click to select 3. Use Customer’s Percentage.
If scanning customer barcodes, activate percentage discounts in the 4. Scanner tab of POS Terminal options.
Click 5. OK.
Barcode
Enter the barcode number in this  eld to scan a customer card through POS Terminal and have the customer’s
details appear.
If you are having customer cards preprinted ensure that there is a percentage sign (%) included
at the start of the barcode number sequence. You do not need to type this percentage sign when
entering the code in any of the POS Terminal or Accounts  elds. The barcode number used is the
customer’s loyalty number set up in POS Administrator or Terminal.
