Getting Started
These custom  elds have been speci cally included in Accounts for POS users and should not be
modi ed at any time.
Product Number
This  eld is used to record an item’s quick reference number or supplier number and is another form of recalling the
product on your POS Terminal.
Product Barcode
This  eld is used to record the item’s barcode number. If an item does not have a barcode number you can make a
number up and print a barcode label in POS Administrator.
Accounts is limited to storing one barcode for an item. However, you can store multiple barcodes
against a single item from within POS Administrator. This allows the POS operator to process any
number of di erent barcodes associated with a single item during a standard sales transaction.

Multiple barcodes are only available in POS Enterprise and POS Professional.
