POS Administrator
POS Administrator is the POS management component. It handles system tasks, manages the database and
terminals and acts as the interface between Accounts and the POS terminals.
Accounts and POS Administrator must be installed on the same computer.
Having POS Administrator as a separate entity from POS Terminal allows the terminals to operate as stand-alone
cash registers. It also clearly separates the back o ce tasks from the point of sale tasks.
POS Terminal
POS Terminal is the point of sale component that is located at the store check-out on a computer. It operates the
cash drawer, receipt printer, integrated EFTPOS and scanner. It processes all transactions in the same manner as an
electronic cash register with the same functionality, speed and ease of operation.
