edit an existing one, a message asks you whether you want to send an SMS to that customer. If you click No, then no
SMS is sent. If you click Ye s , the Edit SMS Details window opens where you can send the message to the customer.

Opting out of receiving SMS
Whenever you send promotional or advertising material to your customers you must give them the option to
opt out of receiving this type of message. Reckon SMS allows you to add this option to these message types, by
selecting Message contains Advertising/Promotional material from the Send/Edit SMS Details window.
Whenever this option is selected the line “To opt out please reply STOP” will be added to the end of your SMS
message. If a customer replies with STOP, an SMS is received and that customer is marked as “opted-out” in POS and
will not receive any further SMS messages, unless you edit the customer record to and untick to opt-out option.
