Conventions used in this guide
This guide uses a number of conventions to communicate information to you, as shown in the following table.

Point of Sale Enterprise
Point of Sale Professional
Point of Sale Lite
POS.
Unless otherwise speci ed di erences between Point of Sale Enterprise, Point of
Sale Professional and Point of Sale Lite.
Point of Sale Administrator. POS Administrator or Administrator.
Point of Sale Terminal. POS Terminal, or Terminal when referencing the speci c software program or a
speci c terminal running the program.
POS terminal/s, when referencing the hardware that might run POS Terminal.
A menu path in the program. Go to the Help menu and click In-product Help.
A button that you click in the
program.
The button name in bold type.
For example, “Click Activate...”
If you are using a touch screen you would press instead of click a button.
The name of a window in the
program.
The window name is bold.
For example, the Preferences window opens.
