Welcome to Point of Sale
Each program performs a unique function but relies on the other applications for key data. For example, Accounts
handles the back end accounting, which includes tracking inventory and customers. Accounts stores this
information in a company  le that POS Administrator needs to access so it can create the POS database  le. POS
Terminal then needs access to the POS database  le before it can function properly.
Its therefore important to install the programs in the following order:
Accounts (formerly known as QuickBooks)1.
POS Administrator (which we’ll refer to as POS Administrator)2.
POS Terminal (which we’ll refer to as POS Terminal)3.
You then need to run POS Administrator, perform some basic setup tasks, and then do the same with POS Terminal.
For instructions on the Point of Sales setup tasks, please read the Point of Sale 2013 Installation and Upgrade Guide.
