Function key Description
Currency Conversion
(this is only available
in POS Enterprise
and Professional)
Create a number of Currency Conversion function keys each with a preset currency to convert foreign
currency to local currency. Various currencies and exchange rates are set up in POS Administrator. If
there is no preset currency to this key POS Terminal displays a list of the currencies to select from.
Customer Account Assigns a customer to a transaction. It can be used in two ways.
Type in the customer’s ID and press the Customer Number key, or, press the Customer Number key to
display the Customer list and select a customer from the list.

Payment
Records a customer’s payment against their outstanding account. Choose the customer before this key.
Department (this
is only available in
POS Enterprise and
Professional)
Sells an item that is not maintained in inventory. Select a non-inventory item or a service and apply it
to the department. Enter a value for the item and click Department. For example, Hot Chips are not
generally sold as a xed amount i.e. 100 chips for $1.50. If a non-inventory item for hot chips is created,
use it as an Open Department sold item. Process multiple price levels with a single key, for example sell
$1 hot chips by entering 100 and then hitting the hot chips Department key.
Dollar Discount Creates a dollar discount within a sale. It relates to a Dollar Discount item contained within Accounts.
POS Administrator creates a Dollar Discount item within Accounts when the Accounts company le is
selected during setup.
Dollar Surcharge Applies a dollar value surcharge for a transaction that requires an additional amount. For example, a
delivery fee would require a surcharge. POS Terminal uses an Other Charge item that is stored within
Accounts for dollar surcharges. POS Administrator creates this Other Charge when you select the
Accounts le in setup.
End of Period Allows you to start the End of Day procedure.
