Installation Guide
1 To install the Zamma vinyl ush stair nose, the existing steps themselves must
be prepared. The front of the step must provide a 90º corner on which to mount
the new stair nose. This may be accomplished in two ways by either cutting the
extended nosing o or by placing a shim/spacer on the existing riser to bring the
new riser out to the end of the extended nosing.
Para instalar la nariz de escalera al ras, los escalones tienen que estar preparados. El escalón
de enfrente debe de proveer una esquina de 90° la cual encaja la nariz nueva. Esto se puede
lograr de dos maneras, cortando de la nariz del escalón o añadiendo una cuña/espaciador en el
elevado existente para traer el nuevo elevado fuera de la nariz del escalón.
2 The new stair nose should be cut to length to provide a tight t against both the
sides and the new riser. Once the proper length is achieved, a coarse sandpaper
(60-80 grit) should be used to remove the gloss from the back of the product and
add texture to ensure a strong bond.
La nueva nariz del escalón debería ser cortado a medida para proveer un ajuste apretado en
ambos lados y en el elevado nuevo. Ya cuando se corta a la propia medida, se debería de usa un
hoja de lija de un gruesor (60-80 de grano) para remover el brillo del área de atrás del producto
y añadir textura para asegurar una unión fuerte.
3 Cut to length the rst piece of ooring that will be installed against the nosing.
Remove the portion of the tongue that extends beyond the decorative face of the
ooring to ensure you have a tight t. Proceed by interlocking the next ooring
pieces that have been cut to length and dry t those pieces in place. After dry
tting, make sure the nal piece is a minimum of 2”, if not adjust the ooring
forward to achieve the 2” in the back.
Corte a medida la primera pieza de piso que se instalara contra la nariz. Retire la parte de la
lengüeta que se extiende más allá de la cara decorativa del piso para asegurarse de tener piezas
apretadas. Continúe entrelazando las siguientes piezas del piso que se cortaron a medida y
ajuste en seco esas piezas en su lugar. Después del ajuste en seco, asegúrese de que la pieza

4 Dry tting will allow you to check each piece for proper t and nish before gluing
in place. Choose a high-quality urethane construction adhesive and apply a ¼”
bead of glue in a serpentine fashion on the back of each of the components and
install from the front starting with the stair nose and working to the next riser.
El ajuste en seco le permitirá vericar el ajuste y el acabado de cada pieza antes de pegarla
en su lugar. Elija un adhesivo de construcción de uretano de alta calidad y aplique una gota
de pegamento de 1/4 “en forma de serpentina en la parte posterior de cada uno de los
componentes e instálelo desde el frente comenzando con la punta de la escalera y trabajando
hasta el próximo elevado.
