COXCENTRIC PPs/ALU WITH CONNEXT
®
COMPONENTS
For a list of ULC-S636 approved Coxcentric PPs/Alu with
CONNEXT
®
components, please consult the Coxcentric PPs/Alu
with CONNEXT
®
brochure at www.coxgeelen.com.
General installation conditions
1. Do not install CONNEXT
®
in areas where ambient air
temperature exceeds 150°C (302°F).
2. Do not store the Coxcentric PPs/Alu system in a corrosive
environment.
3. The maximum continuous vertical vent length is unlimited,
the maximum distance between the supports is 2m (78”),
see figure 1. Always refer to the manufacturer’s instruction
for appliance specific vent limitations.
4. The horizontal installation length is unlimited, the
maximum distance of a non vertical installation between
the brackets is 1m (39”), see figure 2. The venting system
has to be sloped upwards not less than 50 mm (2”) per
1000 mm (39”) from the appliance to the vent terminal,
see figure 3. Always refer to the manufacturer’s instruction
for appliance specific vent limitations.
5. System is subject to expansion and contraction. When
the outer pipe is fixed with the supports, the inner PPs
flue pipe is free to slide. This vent system has to be
supported in accordance with these instructions.
6. Appliances can be operated immediately upon the
completion of the Coxcentric PPs/Alu Vent System
installation.
7. The internal vent pipe of Coxcentric PPs/Alu is rated to a
maximum of 5000Pa (0.725psi) or 20” of water column.
8. The maximum flue gas temperature for Coxcentric PPs/Alu
is 110°C (230°F) for ULC-S636 compliant installations. Cox
Geelen guarantees Coxcentric PPs/Alu up to a maximum
flue gas temperature of 120°C (248°F).
9. Cox Geelen Pipe lubricant (art.no. 0005CA000),
especially made for the assembly of exhaust pipes in
plumbing and heating systems. May be applied to all
gaskets for ease of assembly. Don’t use another Pipe
lubricant.
10. Free standing components (i.e., above a roof) must not
exceed a maximum vertical height of 1m (39”) (Wind
load). When the freestanding length is greater, the
flue liner has to be stabilized. The maximum distance
between the outer surface of the flue liner and the wall is
50 mm. (subjected to bracket strength)
11. The minimum clearance to combustibles materials is
zero, 0 mm (0”).
12. Unless approved by the appliance manufacturer, only one
appliance may be attached to the vent system.
13. Do not use Coxcentric PPs/Alu with any other
manufacturer’s vent components. Cox Geelen Coxcentric
PPs/Alu components must be used exclusively
throughout the entire vent system.
