1. Select View > Collision Detection.
2. Check the Display layers during collision detection option and click OK. It takes the software a few
minutes to analyze all the part layers.
3. If a collision is detected, a warning appears and identifies which layer the collision is detected on. Cor-
rect the collision by adjusting the part position, then run Collision Detection again. Continue in this
manner until there are no collisions reported by ZPrint.
4. If no collision is detected, ZPrint returns a confirmation that no collision was found.
5. After correcting all collisions (by repositioning the parts in the Build Bed view), run Collision Detection
again to ensure there are no more collisions.
5.13 Apply Color To Monochrome Parts
Select Edit > Colors to apply color to single or multiple monochrome part(s) (.stl files).
NOTE: It is recommended that you use ZEdit for painting parts. In ZEdit, you can apply multiple colors
to part surfaces, shells, or triangles with full painting capability using the cursor.
1. Load an .stl file and select the part.
2. Choose Edit > Colors.
3. Choose a color on the Color palette and click OK. The color is applied to the selected part.
5.14 Anisotropic Scaling
Each combination of powder, binder and printer model has its own preset anisotropic scaling values. To
override this setting and print a build using a different value, access the Anisotropic Scaling dialog and
modify the current settings. See Section 8.1 “Create Custom Powder Types” and Section 8.3 “Anisotropic
Scaling Overview” for additional information.
Changing the values in the Anisotropic Scaling dialog applies to the current build only. Most users will not
need to change the default settings for Anisotropic Scaling.
1. Select the part and select Transform > Anisotropic Scaling.
2. Enter values for the X, Y, and Z Axis. (A range of 0.8 - 1.2 is the recommended scale for ZPrinter 450.)
3. Click OK. The Anisotropic Scaling settings are applied to the part for the current build only.
