4. Hardware Installation

The following sect ions in t his chapt er describe how t o inst all XA- 623AH

4.1. Installation Overview

XA-623AH wireless module is design for Access Point, Router, and so forth.

4.2. Safety Recommendations

The safety guidelines are as follows:

Keep the board area clear and dust - free before, during, and after inst allat ion.

Keep tools away from walk areas where you and ot hers could fall over t hem .

Do not wear loose clothing or j ewelry, such as earrings, bracelet s, or chains, t hat

could get caught in t he board.

λ Wear safety glasses if you are working under any conditions t hat m ight be

hazardous t o your eyes.

Do not perform any act ion t hat creat es a pot ential hazard t o people or m akes

the equipm ent unsafe.

λ Never attem pt t o lift an obj ect that is too heavy for one person t o handle.

4.3. Maintaining Safety with Electricity

Warning: Before working on a board or working near power supplies, unplug the power

cord on AC units; on DC units, disconnect the power at the circuit breaker

Do not w ork alone if pot ent ially hazardous conditions exist anywhere in your

work space.

Avoiding Elect rost at ic Discharge

Before you install the

XA- 623AH m odule, ground yourself by t ouching a

piece of m et al to avoid electrost at ic discharge (ESD). You should also

take the follow ing precaut ions t o prevent dam age t o the XA- 623AH

m odule:
