Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
Spanning Tree Protocol is a link management protocol for RCP bridges which provides path
redundancy while preventing loops in a network. STP allows only one active path at a time
between the RCP bridges but establish the redundant link as a backup if the initial link fails.
STP Forward Delay
STP Forward Delay is the time spent in detecting and learning network tree topology state before
entering the forward state. Default time value is 1 sec. Select Normal if you would like to modify
the parameter (4-30 seconds).

Operating Mode
Four operating modes are available on R1 Extender. In a point to point environment where there
are only two radios, Peer to Peer is recommended as it works more efficiently.
Base Station: The R1 Extender connects directly to the main Ethernet LAN and receives
connectivity from other wireless devices.
