Probe Name
Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 1-6→Probe Name
Use the alpha/numeric keypad to name aux inputs. Congured name(s) appear
throughout menus and at Run Screen - gure 4.7- page 108.
Note:
- Aux names can also be congured at Menus System Name Devices/
Sensors.
Input Type
Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 1-6→Input Type →Digital
→0-1v
→0-5v
→4/20ma
→Aux 3-6→Input Type →Temperature
Select the input type for the device(s) wired to aux system(s). Aux Sensor Setup
menu selections are based on the aux input type congured at system menu. Input
types are discussed in the following sections.
Conguring the 5X00
Digital
Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 1-6→Input Type→Digital
Use digital input when wiring an external device to control or alarm when the
contacts of an external switch open or close. A common application would be to
detect high or low water levels using a oat switch.
Notes:
- Sux, Min, Max, and Display Format are not available for digital inputs.
- In the 5X00 sensor log, aux digital “closed” is logged as Aux 0.00. Aux digital
“open” is logged as Aux 1.00.

Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 1-6

to scroll and highlight submenus.

5. Congure digital input type and name.
6. Press
to save conguration and return to Run Screen.
7. Go to Sensor Setup Menus Sensor Setup Aux 1-6 - page 147 to
enable and congure control/alarm on condition, control/alarm relay,
and hold o time.
8. Press
to save conguration.
Analog Non Temperature
0-1VDC and 0-5VDC and 4-20 mA
Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 3-6→Input Type →0-1V
→0-5V
→4/20ma
Select the analog input type based on the signal being sent from the device.
