(no Temp Source menu) (Temp Source menu will be available when Tempera-

Probe Name
Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 1-6→Probe Name
Use the alpha/numeric keypad to name aux inputs. Congured name(s) appear
throughout menus and at Run Screen - gure 4.7- page 108.
Note:
- Aux names can also be congured at Menus  System  Name Devices/
Sensors.
Input Type
Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 1-6→Input Type →Digital
→0-1v
→0-5v
→4/20ma
→Aux 3-6→Input Type →Temperature
Select the input type for the device(s) wired to aux system(s). Aux Sensor Setup
menu selections are based on the aux input type congured at system menu. Input
types are discussed in the following sections.
Conguring the 5X00
Digital
Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 1-6→Input Type→Digital
Use digital input when wiring an external device to control or alarm when the
contacts of an external switch open or close. A common application would be to
detect high or low water levels using a oat switch.
Notes:
- Sux, Min, Max, and Display Format are not available for digital inputs.
- In the 5X00 sensor log, aux digital “closed” is logged as Aux 0.00. Aux digital
open” is logged as Aux 1.00.

Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 1-6

to scroll and highlight submenus.

to select.
5. Congure digital input type and name.
6. Press
to save conguration and return to Run Screen.
7. Go to Sensor Setup Menus  Sensor Setup Aux 1-6 - page 147 to
enable and congure control/alarm on condition, control/alarm relay,
and hold o time.
8. Press
to save conguration.
Analog Non Temperature
0-1VDC and 0-5VDC and 4-20 mA
Menus → System → Congure Aux →Aux 3-6→Input Type →0-1V
→0-5V
→4/20ma
Select the analog input type based on the signal being sent from the device.
