Note:
e slave address appears as the slave subnode at node properties.
Disable the Termination Relay on all devices except for the rst and last 6.

If the master is not the rst or last physical device on the network, apply
power and insert network terminal strip on the master and on the rst and
last physical devices on the network. Refer to the network wiring instruc-
tions for detailed testing information beginning on page 52. Testing for
proper wiring and conguration can be done one of two ways:
A. Aer performing step 9, wait at least 30 seconds and then reenter the Com-
munication Master submenu. If the serial number of the slave is displayed
next to the slave address number, the communication network is wired and
congured correctly.

B. Aer performing step 9, wait at least 30 seconds and then poll the slave
node using AquaManager. If the serial number of the slave is displayed next
to slave address number, the network is wired and congured correctly.
Apply power. Insert network termination strip to 5200A/5400 units as 11.
described in the network wiring instructions beginning on page 52. Repeat
network conguration directions starting at step 8 until network wiring
for master and all slaves has been tested.
Notes:
An Event and General alarm (if enabled) will occur if, aer ten queries, -
an enabled slave does not respond to the Master.
Conguring a 5200A as a Master overrides any slave conguration that -
had been previously saved.
Slave alarms (slave alarm at master and 5200A alarm emails) will not oc- -
cur if slave node serial number is not recognized at master node at steps
10. A or 10. B above.
